Improving the neighbourhood!

You may or may not have met my husband, Darryl. It was his idea to form a business improvement area for our stretch of Jane Street and along a portion of Annette Street: the Baby Point Gates BIA. As the two streets meet at the gates outside Baby Point, it was logical to name the new BIA after them.

It took a lot of persuading, and there are still some naysayers, but after two years, several annual general meetings, two votes, and lots of stress and work, the Baby Point Gates BIA is formed.

My husband is now the chairman of the BIA board, and I myself along with some other business owners in the area am a part of the BIA's marketing committee.

The improvements to our area that our local patrons and patrons from other neighbourhoods and cities will see over the next two years will be amazing! Watch for improvements to the commercial area coming over the next year.
